Physicians Disaster Response (PDR) is an essential component of emergency healthcare infrastructure, specializing in deploying medical professionals and resources to provide crucial support during hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and other disasters. The organization is designed to swiftly and efficiently respond to the unique challenges posed by such emergencies, ensuring that affected communities receive timely and comprehensive medical care. The organization is comprised of physicians with more than thirty years of experience in critical care, and medical and surgical emergencies.
The owner/ founder is a graduate of an HBCU, Xavier University of La. She also finished medical school at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. She then completed residency training and fellowship in the UCLA system in California.
The medical director is a graduate of Xavier University of La. He also finished medical school at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. He trained at the number one trauma center in Los Angeles, CA. He holds a board certification in general surgery. He is ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and BLS certified. He has served as the medical director in several disaster areas supervising nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, and other medical personnel. His experience has been instrumental in preventing waste by ordering supplies and giving onsite medical training and reviews.
